A #Fap is a wonderful thing (Follow zap) nostr:note1y4tf2hhwzzsuerz2lkmy6zzfrn0khtw83gu880an78cwzxeee3aq63qh90

Dang by 3 months months lol
I’ve seen a few of these similar posts recently and they all sound cookie cutter, like someone is copy/pasting them. Good way for a spammer to buy their way into webs of trust for cheap. I’m not a fan at all.
I was thinking about this too. Like Follow Repost Sounds a lot like what I would see on twitter. And that’s a really good point about spammers. Not a fan either 🤷🏾♂️
Could be benign. Definitely a way to get a few followers lol. But I think it’s at least worth thinking about.
First I had seen in a while, good call
I don’t want to discourage following new users. Just pointing out one aspect of it. There was an account trending on nostr.band a couple days ago with almost that exact same wording.
I was thinking about recommending new people through trusted communities/groups. If I trust the main members of a community enough and they recommend me a person sporadically, I wouldn't get mad and I would have the opportunity to analyze the behavior of that individual and maybe recommend it if I'm on other community
My question is how did they benefit from it financially if they're giving away SATs for followers and are only intending to spam? I'm not saying that it's not happening. It very well could be. I'm just curious what their motivations could be when there's no financial incentive for doing so.
Not sure. Could be nothing. But if it is spam/scammers then the first step would be to appear legit and and be seen.
@Satsy and @SatsMan are great examples
I just want to zap ⚡️ people and get zapped, that’s all! No spam! Plus, zaps ⚡️ are great for keeping newcomers hooked on Nostr! I just love #Bitcoin. I don't think anyone who loves Bitcoin can harm anything. @SatsMan is my invited me here on nostr and we know each other in person. Some time I boost his notes. That’s all!! Bottom line is NO ONE IS SPAMMING!!!!!!!!! Just for agreement might be his motivation. 💜🧡🍻🥂
At this point in time, a follow is going to require some discussion 😂
lol 😂 I still have a pretty low bar for following someone but I at least need to have some sort of genuine interaction with them, and being bribed to follow does not feel genuine. As soon as I saw clients showing which of your follows also follow an account I started becoming a little more selective with who I follow.
Well thanks ! Good to know the bar was low enough for me then. 😂
✅ Meets or exceeds minimum requirements 😂
There’s 240 sats for next month’s follow 😂
Need to buy me some frends 😂 Thanks for the heads up🙂
You suffer the consequences of your own actions, in this case a system which can be easily manipulated and encourages self censorship Why did no social media platform implement WoT for spam and bot filtering? We may hate them but they also aren’t stupid, and have poured way more time and money into bot detection than Nostr ever will in the next 5-10 years.
You sure like to try to make yourself sound smart.
We are taking a concept originally used in a context where real people verified their real identity in person and often required multiple signatures to be marked trusted, and trying to apply it so that “trust” is established by you wanting to see their content in your feed, and one follow being enough. But I guess it’s too hard to not be realistic about things.
The level of trust required to allow some text note into my feed doesn’t need to be very high. I don’t care what it’s called.
