Personally, Jeff VanderMeer is one of my favorite authors. Especially if you like the nature theme and the weird fiction genre, you can give Annihilation a chance. However, the movie and the book are different in many ways. Also, the post-apocalyptic theme may not appeal to everyone. You can also check out Borne and other works by the same author.
