A few months ago I disabled my phone from being able to access X, I disallowed java for that particular site in settings (I never used the app). This forced me to change my old habit of going to (doomscrolling / rubberneck scrolling) X and instead I scratch the itch by opening Nostr (via Primal in my case). To be fair and honest, I do still visit X on my computer when I need to check on something specific. Now that the veil has been pulled back, it only takes a few minute until I feel the urgent desire to close X and get on with a more fulfilling focus.

I didn't expect the profound improvement in my life. Like the adage - you're the average of your 5 closest friends - you're also the average of the content you steep yourself in... the worldview you expose yourself to... the lense through which you engage in current events ... this is not reading "the news" ... this is you defining the very fabric of you, of your psyche.

Now, the positivity and optimism of Bitcoin is also the conduit or filter through which I engage in the digital world, and by extension the real world. It's been great. Far less time wasted, far more optimism and motivation, overall a better way to live.

We all enjoy being part of a tribe, it's embedded in our DNA. Now, through Bitcoin Nostr, my digital tribe operates on the profound truth that it's all going to be okay. We have the power to build a better world for our children and future generations. The corrupting forces that have brought societies low in ages past cannot match the power that we now have. It is my hope our power, and the tools it enables, proliferates fast enough for me to see meaningful societal change in a short enough timescale that I can enjoy that world in my lifetime, or even better at this time in my life.

Thank you to the builders, the visionaries, and punk rock freedom loving heros who are making this world happen. 🧡
