It may not be my place to say, so forgive me if I'm speaking out of turn, as I'm clearly an outsider looking in.
I don't think equality of ownership or property rights will erase the inherit bias humans have toward each other. Gender is just an easy label for separation, like skin color, eye color, language, etc.
Even if all of us looked and sounded exactly the same people would find a way to separate and elevate themselves. However this bias can go way beyond the natural inclination when one group begins to oppress/coerce/control another group. Whether that's physically or financially we should fight against this oppression at all cost, and protect the liberty of every individual, and by extension every group.
First of all thank you for your contribution. It’s greatly appreciated. Personally, I’m not entirely convinced that the (real) protection of private property can be the sole right deserving protection as a foundation for a better society. However, I also recognize that inequities almost always have an economic basis, and I am therefore making an effort to consider this issue from a different perspective than what comes naturally to me.
It's an honor to speak with someone on your level of intelligence and I appreciate your response.
I think you're right, property or ownership of one's labor is only part of the life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness (property rights)
Without protecting everyone's bodily autonomy/sovereignty (life) and their right to live how they see fit (liberty) society ultimately suffers.
To what extent these protections go is a hard problem to solve as you don't want to fall into the trap of favoritism of one group over another in any category.
There has been a dangerous move toward religious favoritism in many countries as an example.
Finding the balance between individual freedoms and equal protections for all, while avoiding favoritism of any kind, is perhaps humanity's most complex puzzle.
Maybe now that bitcoin has solved the Byzantine generals problem we are one step closer to solving this conundrum. So bullish on the future 💜
