The amount that's been accomplished in just the year Ive been here is so impressive I have no doubt it will continue to thrive. In the meantime, I've met some amazing people, had a few laughs, and participated in a burgeoning bitcoin economy. Since I'm not a programmer, I'll just be thankful for now and zap until my sack is empty.
I am committed to nostr. This is where I post and create. It has progressed exponentially in the past 2 years. I hope that continues and I’m confident that it will. Just observing the reality of what other platforms are offering and thinking what it will take for nostr to compete for attention. Creators will bring audiences. How can we appeal to creators financially? It would be cool to see a cashapp or similar company throw some real money into sponsoring creators/artists to devote themselves to nostr and try to bring their audiences here.
Its hard because on the one hand creatives have to give some shit away for free to get interest and then paywall other shit to paid. As with everything, sponsorship will wiggle its way in as participation grows which will generate money and more participation. I want a world where creatives can thrive so I can enjoy their outputs. I can imagine sponsoring something I'm into in the future. Maybe an OpenSats-type fund for creatives would be cool. An Endowment for NOSTR Art
My thinking is along the same lines.
