✨ Fresh new Alby Hub landing page is out of the over✨

Visit albyhub.com to get to know what makes Alby Hub special and also get a sneak peak of incoming... 🐝📱

🔌 Alby Hub is a self-custodial, open source lightning wallet that has a super power of connecting to apps

https://m.primal.net/KTqu.png

🕊️ Our aim is to make lightning self-custody as easy as possible, while maintaining lots of degree of freedom

https://m.primal.net/KTqx.png

😎 You hold your own keys and even can choose between 6 different lightning backends! LDK, Phoenixd, Breez SKD, Blockstream Greenlight, LND and even Cashu!

🌍 Hub has an app store to easily let you discover where you connect your node and use your own sats, while maintaining self-custody

https://m.primal.net/KTrD.png

🚦 For each app connection, you can specify detailed permissions of what the app will be allowed to do, and include renewable budgets of the sats you can spend

💸 Your sats will no longer be trapped in one device — use your node in Alby Extension on the web or incoming Alby Go when roaming around the physical world

📡 There's several ways to run your Alby Hub: you can use Alby Cloud service, run it on Umbrel or Start9 or deploy on other machines or servers

😍 So, how does Alby Hub look for you?

Visit http://albyhub.com and let us know!
is it still pendijg for start9? i dont see it in their marketplace
Yes still pending for official store, but you can already install it https://guides.getalby.com/user-guide/v/alby-account-and-browser-extension/alby-hub/alby-hub-flavors/umbrel-start9-etc
An updated version (and downloadable .s9pk ready to be installed) can be found in my fork: https://github.com/remcoros/albyhub-startos
What's the difference with horologger's one?
It's forked from horologger's repo, cleaned it up a bit and updated hub to 1.6.0 and tagged a release to trigger the build pipeline (to have .s9pk)
This guy knows what he's doing 😉
 😂
and this self hosted albyhub will be usable with my existing LND node? without subscription fee?
 Yes!
awesome, look forward to the service making it to start9
 Pretty!
 Great 🐝💛
 Own your Sats.
Reach out to apps.
Looking forward to it! There’s just a lot to get set up. (I might be holding it wrong.)
Working hard to make it easier and shorter 🤙
Love receiving zaps direct to my node BUT I can’t seem to be able to configure Alby Hub with Zapplepay so that I can zap people.

Before I switched to Alby Hub I was able to configure Primal/Alby so that if I ❤️ed something it was 42 sats, 👍 it was 21, ☕️ it was 2,500 etc. but that doesn’t seem to work any more.

FWIW my node is a Raspberry Pi 5 running latest umbrel OS and Alby Hub. I’m running Primal on an iPhone. Any suggestions or how-tos?
What's the problem, do you get an error or something? cc @roland
Hmm, and you have no issue paying invoices from Alby Hub?

Zapple Pay should continue to work with the existing connection
Haven’t yet tried to pay any invoices from AlbyHub
Ah ok, I’d try that first - much less moving parts
When I copy and paste my pairing secret into the “connect your wallet => manual connect” section of ZapplePay it says “NetworkError when attempting to fetch resource.”
 This is lit! 🔥
Today I will try it on desktop.🤩

Is there a plan to support CLN as well?
Rather not soon, unless some OSS contributor wants to work on that ;)
I use Alby mainly for the NIP07 login feature. Does the Hub still allow that? @alby
You can continue using extension with he Hub.

We will probably add remote login with keys that are held in the hub in the future too
No, the fee structure looks different. With the Hub you pay the regular channel opening fees and then routing, as set by routing nodes.
 Thank you!
