Our friend Roger Nygard made a great little documentary a while back called "TREKKIES". Roger was one of the first people to see how Star Trek had done something to and for its fans that few other shows had ever done before.

Being Trekkies (or Trekkers) empowered those fans. Their love for that world gave them far more than just pleasure and entertainment. It empowered them.
