Tisha B'Av (Hebrew: תִּשְׁעָה בְּאָב[a] Tīšʿā Bəʾāv; IPA: [tiʃʕa beˈʔav] ⓘ, lit. 'the ninth of Av') is an annual fast day in Judaism, on which a number of disasters in Jewish history occurred, primarily the destruction of both Solomon's Temple by the Neo-Babylonian Empire and the Second Temple by the Roman Empire in Jerusalem.

But, that’s not all. Kristallnacht, which took place on November 9th, 1938, when listed in the European style –listing the date of the month prior to the month, Kristallnacht took place on 9/11 as well, the ninth day of the eleventh month.
