ARM boards are still pricey compared to smartphones, and the UX and support sucks. Why do so many have a boner for rpi?
I wasted so much time on them shitty boards from v1-4......then I realized that refurbished x86 is cheaper and better
Old x86 laptop: $100 Latest pi with all accessories: $300 I guess it's only relevant if you want it usb powered
I never saw the point of pi's given their price. I got this instead: https://www.aliexpress.us/item/3256805806271638.html?spm=a2g0o.productlist.main.3.549f7f03Nj3b3v&algo_pvid=41803d28-2996-49a4-9d3e-30c179e44e14&algo_exp_id=41803d28-2996-49a4-9d3e-30c179e44e14-1&pdp_npi=4%40dis%21CAD%21334.60%21184.03%21%21%21239.00%21131.45%21%40210324f117128140020047113ee08a%2112000035213111074%21sea%21US%210%21AB&curPageLogUid=2Iseb5OBoBCU&utparam-url=scene%3Asearch%7Cquery_from%3A Perfect for #Start9 OS ;-)
Start9 is lightning bullshit?
Start9 is a server that that lets you install Bitcoin Core and Lightning Nodes as well as other self hosted services like email, file server, tailscale, nostr relay, etc. Highly recommended. Very stable.
Any linux distro does that. I have no interest in bitcoin.
well the topic was about hardware anyway. Was more interested on your thoughts about the link I posted for that.
Intel mini PC. Any Linux distro will work with it. I don't remember how big the chain is, but 1 TB should be enough.
yes that is correct. I have been using it for a couple of months now. Much better investment than a pi
How much will you make from running a lightning node?
I don't know. I'm not running a lightning node.
So how are you gonna make money with the hardware?
