 #gothstr sounds like my thing
(also, how does this work... do w just add -str to things, #industrialstr #indunostrial)
Lol yes, this is hashtag mining lol

Unfortunately everyone adding the str suffix doesn't really help when new people search for stuff. But it's fun to be the first person, maybe:)
that did kind of work on twitter ! just post something, and even though too niche for your current followers*, people might stumble on it in a search like months later

don't know about here, i don't know the discovery mechanism here**

* here, please heed the quota of one niche interest per person-it can be any as long as it has to do with bitcoin, nostr, or (somehow) mesh radio
** this social network has a strict Bring Your Own Following (BYOF) policy
I have looked up hashtags of stuff (can't remember what they are now) and seen posts from months ago. Those users tend to have stopped posting (or perhaps moved to other npubs). But yeah, it seems like there's people who want to talk about other stuff, aren't finding any/much engagement, and potentially leave for good. Or they give up and join the chorus of bitcointwitter sloganeering.

A forum/topic focused client may help with this. Although I suspect it may be a similar problem maybe?
There was a scenario of BYOF. When Matt Taibbi joined he brought a load of people. They stayed for a bit, got bored and presumably returned to twitter.
