I think, boosting should be much less of a thing.
Currently, the default timeline in noStrudel shows only new posts, boosts and replies but maybe it should also or even instead show zapped posts? So instead of boosting good content people would have more of a reason to zap it. Sure, if we overdo this incentive, zaps will get abused to self-zap for visibility but I would argue that posts that got a lot of zaps from my follows are more relevant than those that got boosted.

Who do you think that?
Bumping something to the top again is incredibly useful and has always been (forums, etc).
Absolutely, bumping is incredibly useful and maybe even more in nostr than in Twitter where you can only boost once. My argument was simply about clients treating other things like boosts. Currently, zapping is possible and nice but no client treats it like a boost but they could. Like Twitter uses likes as a reason to feed you stuff, zapps should be a much better reason to feed stuff to users than likes.
