The world is really only comprised of two groups. Children and adults. Being a child is default. Maturing into an adult is not.
But being a child is more fun.
For a time. After awhile it becomes sad.
yes, when you're curious, learning, and doing stuff. but theres way to many adult aged children who cant cope with life unless someone around them is a mature adult.
It sucks for everyone else but it's fun for them.
Childlike ≠ Childish Few figure it out. Having that said: did you guys see my cock?? nostr:nevent1qqs9ge42p40ulkyj230c5zx0zzuvk66fre2uvrzjdwgm82e38dek2tcpzpmhxue69uhkummnw3ezumt0d5hsyg87gqlw8ffje8xgjdtxehwkqs7gwtafycwmysqj04srmywqycu3mypsgqqqqqqs6dk7uf
"Most people don’t grow up. It’s too damn difficult. What happens is most people get older. That’s the truth of it. They honor their credit cards, they find parking spaces, they marry, they have the nerve to have children, but they don’t grow up. Not really. They get older. But to grow up costs the earth, the earth. It means you take responsibility for the time you take up, for the space you occupy. It’s serious business. And you find out what it costs us to love and to lose, to dare and to fail. And maybe even more, to succeed. What it costs, in truth." — Maya Angelou
You become an adult by taking on and overcoming challenges and hardships. Like rings in a tree. A lot of people choose the easy way and let life happen to them, like children. They deal with obstacles and pain but numbing themselves and looking the other way.
Most boomers I know are children
The majority of Americans I know are in the first group. Particularly wealthy Californians. Seems very few have the strength or courage to make it to maturity.
And Canadians are even more Childish than Californians. There are literally no adults in Canada except a couple in Alberta and Saskatchewan
Children and Older Children. Wen Adult?
And having a child is a necessary (but not sufficient) condition to become an adult.
True many are child’s raising children
