It was simply not considered elsewhere, perhaps because algorithms prevented its diffusion, and valuing paintings in bitcoin encouraged some art amateur to purchase them. 

 i think it's also that jumping on a social media while people are still enthusiastic about it can help in building an audience, because there isn't that much yet, so it doesn't drown in other content 

 Hmm interesting point. You’re referring to Nostr as social media? I can feel and see quite a difference between using the two protocols; ie Instagram and here. I feel as though the community here is a “brighter bunch” and more open to creative ideas. Perhaps this is what learning about bitcoin does and is a prerequisite
