What is the best place in Portugal , and why ?

Just wondering what the best place in Portugal is , and for what reason ? Maybe I will go there some day , and I want to have a little list of places to go .
So many. Lisbon & Porto are awesome and vibrant cities. The Western Algarve and Alentejo for dramatic beaches, cliffs & forests.
Evora, amazing architecture, good weather, nice wines, delicious meats

 Hello Séimí Mac Síomón!
Are you looking for tourist places or lesser-known places?
 Lesser known I would say.
 Portugal, a land of enchantment

Portugal is a land of enchantment, a place where history, culture, and nature come together in perfect harmony. From the bustling streets of Lisbon to the sleepy villages of the Algarve, there is something for everyone to enjoy in this small country.

Braga, the city of the Holy Spirit

Braga is a city of contrasts, a place where ancient history meets modern culture. The city is home to the Bom Jesus do Monte, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that is one of the most important pilgrimage sites in Portugal. The Bom Jesus do Monte is a complex of churches, chapels, and fountains that climb a steep hill. The journey to the top is a rewarding one, as it offers stunning views of the city and the surrounding countryside.

Guimarães, the birthplace of Portugal

Guimarães is a city with a rich history, dating back to the 12th century. The city is considered the birthplace of Portugal, as it was here that @6644d074, the first king of Portugal, was born. Guimarães is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and its historic center is a maze of narrow streets, medieval buildings, and Roman ruins.

Gerês, the land of the wild

Gerês is a national park in the north of Portugal. The park is home to a variety of landscapes, including mountains, forests, and rivers. Gerês is a popular destination for hiking, camping, and fishing.
The charms of the Douro Valley

The Douro Valley is a UNESCO World Heritage Site located in northern Portugal. It is a region of stunning natural beauty, with rolling hills, lush vineyards, and the mighty Douro River winding its way through it all. The region is also home to a rich history and culture, dating back to Roman times.

One of the biggest charms of the Douro Valley is its wine. The region is home to some of the world's most famous wines, including port and Douro reds. Visitors can take tours of wineries, learn about the winemaking process, and taste some of the region's finest wines.

The Douro Valley is also a great place to enjoy the outdoors. Visitors can go hiking, biking, or horseback riding through the vineyards, or take a boat trip down the Douro River. There are also several national parks and nature reserves in the region.

The Douro Valley is a truly special place, with something to offer everyone. It is a place where visitors can experience the beauty of nature, the rich history and culture of Portugal, and the delicious flavors of Douro wine.
Eu gosto muito de Viseu. Principalmente de Vimieiro concelho de Santa Comba Dão local onde nasci.

I liked Mafra. Small hillside village just north of Lisbon. Feels like a real community with great festivals. A National Palace historic site is a great anchor to the village. You can see the Atlantic ocean and it's a very short drive to the beautiful beach town of Ericeira.
