Every #nostr app is its own platform. The relative adherence to the openness and interoperability of the underlying protocol is entirely up to the creators of each app.
You use multiple apps regularly, right? Are you noticing more & more inoperability the last few months?
I use a handful of iOS and web-based nostr apps. Primarily Nostur, Damus, Habla, Nostrudel, and Primal (web and iOS). Overall I think interoperability is improving, at least among those apps I'm using. I have to use certain apps for certain things, which I don't necessarily like, because besides Habla (which is long form only) they're all general purpose nostr clients. But each handles certain things better than the others. Nostur seems to be the most well-rounded in features among the apps I use.
Great point. Keep in your mind that the algorithm will constantly fill your feed with various of resources and it is up to you what to do with them. The average person can be easily brainwashed by the flow of their tl.
