Things are shitty because of real reasons.
You have to actually put the intellectual work in to understand what those reasons are If you're going to talk shit.

So if you have a reasoned criticism, I'm very interested to hear what it is.

 his reason is because he already bought bitcoin. so when you buy monero, it doesn't make him richer. you're supposed to buy bitcoin after he does or he will say mean things to you. he doesn't have a valid technical or philosophical reason. just NGU greed. but he is very good at pretending he cares about those other things.

notice how monero people are focused on electronic commerce and having a tool available. it's actually annoying when a tool like this behaves like a roller coaster. it can mess with what you are trying to do. I don't know of any monero people who have the mentality of convincing others to buy monero after they do for personal enrichment. I'd be perfectly happy if monero is more stable and all its value is related to adoption as a tool, rather than speculation.
