In individuals with Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD) or Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID), stressors can vary widely but often involve situations that challenge their emotional regulation or trigger intense feelings of abandonment, rejection, or perceived threats to their identity. These stressors might include interpersonal conflicts, perceived abandonment, rejection, or trauma-related triggers.

For someone with BPD, the fear of abandonment or rejection could be an intense stressor that leads to feelings of emotional dysregulation, impulsivity, and a distorted sense of self. 
This emotional upheaval could manifest as intense anger, leading to impulsive and sometimes violent behaviors as a way to cope with the overwhelming emotional distress.
The probability that they may cause bodily harm to another person increases.

In DID, stressors that disrupt the cohesiveness of different identities or trigger traumatic memories could prompt dissociative states or shifts between different identities (also known as alters). If a stressful event or trigger causes distress or conflict among alters, it could lead to a dissociative episode where one alter mayexhibit violent behavior, as a means of self-protection or defense - in their mind it will be justified.

The stressor could also be a perceived correlation between two (or more) events that don't necessarily have anything to do with each other.
