no actually those are the words of the author of the article.
Jesus words exactly were:

“Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick. I have not come to call the righteous but sinners to repentance.”"

It says so right there in the article.
But the author tries to twist them with his own interpretation lol

Who, then, was Jesus applying his words to? In the context of the biblical story, who is Jesus pointing to as being sick, and who as being "righteous?" How do you interpret his words?🤔
 its a metaphor.
He is comparing sinners to the sick and himself to a doctor.

Exactly; Who, then, in this historical Bible account, are the sick sinners that need his doctoring?
The tax collectors. But he is not calling them mentally ill. He is calling them spiritually ill.

Big difference. Often enough the mentally ill cannot control their compulsions. Sinners can, we just dont WANT to....
Debatable, but now at least I understand your point.👍

I would maintain that living in denial of the reality that tax collection is immoral (because it is theft) is clearly a form of insanity.
I guess some are in denial.
The others are simply ignorant.
Ignorance of life is the opposite of enlightenment.
