I'm going g to get shit for this but I loved Final Fantasy Tactics .
My first was FFX and it was an awesome introduction. Was totally engrossed in the story. I’ve heard FF7 has just as good a story but I’ve never taken the dive. I got the remastered version 2 years ago for Christmas and it’s still in the plastic 😆
FF3 is hands down the best one.
Been a FF fan since the OG on the NES. 10 is a good intro. I really enjoyed 12 as well.
