@3967703f Apparently some people in DoD are kind of “oh no, oh shit” about it too, but contract law in these United States is sacred, it doesn’t occur to anyone to do anything about the military stuff posthaste. Or the space program for that matter.

An evil narcissist who wormed his way in to a long-established role that, despite myriad examples of waste, fraud, & abuse, was generally working on behalf of most of the people. Both are examples of letting the fox into the henhouse. Most POTUSes & Companies with huge lucrative contracts like Lockheed, Grumman, Rockwell, Raytheon, etc. work under reasonable guidelines set by USG. These 2 & others work for themselves & foreign $. We slept; in they crept.
