@e56c003b A nice radio!.  Would you go with the UV-K5 or the UV-K6 since that is out?  I'd be more likely to pick the K6 but I like the looks of the K5 better.  The K5 is cheaper. Cheaper wins!  Thank you for this info! 

 @3e6503cb I think the Quansheng UV-K5(8) & UV-K6 are the same thing.

Not sure why they have 2 names.  The older version is the UV-K5 without the (8), it has a different front grill.
