The reason I decided to make this little mounting frame was because it took three hours to print the case half and I got the post positions wrong. Instead of re-printing the entire thing I thought I could do a fix that would print fast. Of course it still took an hour. And after I cut the posts off I realized I could have just glued posts in place instead of an entire frame. #3DPrinting

@1875e69c I often find myself having "3d printer brain" where the only solution I can think of is to print something, and also find myself in the opposite mindset, where I take forever messing with random parts to make something work when I could have designed and printed something simple instead.
@1ab62fff I do that sometimes too. Either it's enthusiasm for making some kind of fancy thing that will have "infinite re-use,” or it's because I have some idea that if I do it with computers then other people that don't have as extensive of a personal maker space will be able to copy what I've done. But all I really needed to do was grab a scrap of 2x4 and go drill a few holes in it which would take 5 minutes.

I once found myself trying to design washers "that could be any size or thickness!”
