Thank you for testing Keychat.
We are adding nsec login functionality and plan to release a new version this week or next.
According to statistics, the average user sends about 50 messages per day, costing around 50 sats. With one cent currently buying approximately 16 sats, the daily cost is about 3 cents, and the monthly cost is about 90 cents. We believe that a pay-per-use model is more reasonable than a subscription model.
I like the business model. We know “who will build the roads” in a keychat world.
But 50 sats a day times 30 is 1500 sats a month. Maybe have 2 models an pay as you go model and a monthly subscription model. Just an idea, good luck with the development and help #NostrGrow
Every message in Keychat is sent from a unique address, rather than using the ID as the sender's address, thereby better protecting metadata privacy. Therefore, relays cannot confirm the sender's ID, which also prevents the use of a subscription fee model. Apps like Damus are able to use a subscription model because public notes are sent from user IDs.
