how do you manage your daily tasks, to do list and calendar trying to improve my life step by step, and have taken organising upon myself as the next challenge any interesting thoughts/recommendations/tools would be welcome 💜🤗
I think that obsidian is my personal favorite way to compartmentalize information and create folders with week by week todos that I can go back and look over.
Notes (synced via my nextcloud) And im slowly getting into using a PKM ( Personal knowledge management app) called logseq.
loqseq looks really interesting, curious how it compares to Obsidian 🤔
I think the primary difference is logseq is open source and obsidian is not. That's the main reason I chose logseq. There's also probably a variation in the plugins you can install based on the development community. But I think both apps essentially do the same thing.
Todoist is a good app for me because it runs everywhere and integrates with calender and emails and things like that with zapier. I can put daily to do and have projects. An app (there are many) is really helpful for me.
Using a calendar - weekly or monthly - works very well. I don't write down a to do list. Instead I write what I completed and how long it took me to do it. Basically I'm only writing down things after I completed the task and not before. Writing down things that need to be done only creates stress. I make exceptions for major to do tasks like payments or something but for the most part I try to avoid keeping track of too many to do's. That way I'm keeping track of my productive work only. I ignore anything that wasn't productive and simply don't include it in the calendar. Highly recommend this. I have enjoyed many positive improvements in my work output with this method. It's basically 'time-blocking'.
writing down tasks i need to do helps me declutter and stay calmed and have more clarity throughout the day 💜 time-blocking is an interesting concept for sure, will look into it more
Uh... I use a notebook that I bring and a calendar by my desk. I don't do well with apps and noise, paper suits me best. New day, new page, list your tasks and cross em off. (Added benefits: they can't steal your info if you don't insert your personal schedule hahaha! Not really, I'm just an internet addict.) Yeah I'm too lazy to use calendar apps and stuff. Scheduling my day on Google Calendar felt wrong. Procrastination tip: make everything easier and feelgood, you're more likely to use it. Also a tip for User Interface.
Radicale... super lightweight CalDAV serves calendar/contacts/taks to your devices todo.txt + syncthing works well for tasks too.
Appointments and important/timely tasks go on my proton calendar. All other notes, tasks, thoughts and lists etc. I keep in Evermore.
