The purpose of all meditations and practices is to learn how to direct your attention. It doesn't make you free, it makes you strong to realize it. Understand the essence, deeply understand who I am. Each of you can find some moments and find it sincerely. When we live through thoughts, emotions. Thoughts are just thoughts. Emotions are just things that come and go. In these moments you have to use the power to recognize in a dream that it's a dream. You can realize that you are more than body, thoughts, moods. A level of peace, trust, acceptance. Clarity gives the realization that all is well, it gives freedom. Everything that happens in life is as it should be. You don't have to change anything, you are free. You are the Creator.
