 @f8d9bc1c As I understand, none of them  is chosen. Life peers, hereditary, Lords Spiritual, that is the issue. Completely old-fashioned and utterly wrong. It is a completely undemocratic body and that should be the focus of his worry. There have probably been many more incompetent. That is not the issue here.
