Anyone out there using #StartOS for their #bitcoin node? I’ve nearly finished syncing the chain and was wondering if anyone had tips for services I should use.

I went for a less user-friendly approach last time I set up a node and it didn’t go so well for me. That’s why I thought I’d give Start9 a try.

I’m looking to set up a #Lightning wallet and want to link my #Bitaxe for #mining, as well as set up a #relay.

Any legit help gets a #zap and - screw it - I’ll probably zap you anyway. Only 3 months to #Christmas after all. (I’ve gone hashtag-crazy)

#asknostr #bitcoinnode #plebchain #btc #zaps #lightningnetwork #start9
Nextcloud is pretty great on StartOS. Super easy to set up and has been reliable.
Thanks. Will give that a try. Tried to zap but don’t think it went through.
My tips are to run Bitcoin Knots instead of Bitcoin Core, better control. You have to sideload it but that’s super easy. Then run LND so you can run Nostr Wallet Connect. Also make sure you have plenty of free space on the drive/partition with the blockchain index. Good luck!
Thanks. Will look into Knots. Heard about it but don’t actually know why it’s better/different.

I have already realised my mistake with my ssd size. Bitcoin’s grown a lot since the last time I ran a node. Would love to add another drive and dump the blockchain there but not sure if that’s possible on StartOS.
