I would recommend against going to Bitcoin meetups during bull market If I was a kidnapper this is first place I'd go to scope out targets
Sadly Bitcoin meetups are the entirety of my social life at the moment so I can't stop going or I'd be a hermit. But any smart kidnapper would hopefully pick one of the dudes with cyber trucks over the guy who rolled up on an old bike. I look even poorer than I am 😆
This is the way. I'll happily drive my 15 or old Ford every where. Flaunting wealth just makes you a target.
That's a fair point. The funny thing is, if anybody tried to kidnap me, they'd get absolutely nothing because all I've gotten Bitcoin is about $2 in sats from zaps because of all my failures to actually buy Bitcoin 🤔😂
I've definitely resolved not to display any Bitcoin stuff while I'm out for the next year or two. My poor Bitcoin shirts 🥺
I sometimes wonder whether I should take down my "bitcoin accepted here" stickers in my medical office.
I don't think so, for all people know you just convert everything to fiat, different than being an "enthusiast" who goes to meetups and might be an OG whale
Fair point, I guess at this stage of adoption people still think "taking profits" is the normal thing to do.
@orangepillapp keeps track of targets for you lmao

definitely keep a careful opsec profile, including no identifying pictures and being watchful if you're being followed afterwards
meetups used to be legit. now I definitely see your point. Seems like the scumbags, both male and female are being attracted
Always have EDC now when I go
