Oddbean new post about login | logout @29b9efc5 I whipped out double sided DLE flyers a couple of weeks ago in pages, had to build a background with a few shapes and layer them to get the look I wanted but took me less than an hour to proof stage (I've been a typesetter and sub-ed so have done loads of layout, used variety of software incl Adobe suite). It's really not too bad. Even with no colour picker to get a perfect match they came out pretty good. (If there is a colour picker and I missed it please tell me 😅 )
@3d89e131 I think there is a way of picking colours but can’t remember right now and I’m not at the computer.
@29b9efc5 I hadn't tried to do quite that level of design on there before (not that it was very complex), it was a quickie job because a team member got sick so I picked it up, I liked your article thanks, I usually just learn about my software by having a task I need to do and figuring it out, I'm going to go poke around in there now as 'm curious. Professionally I used Adobe suite but there's a lot you can do even in word most fiddly is not being able to see/select layers.
