Run your own relay and edit the notes it saves if you care that much. But you can’t force all the relays to edit them too. If you care about mistakes, proof read your posts before you send them out into the world for other relays to read and store.
My point is you should not have to edit an entire fucking relay to edit one post. There must be a way to do this.

When you send a post, it goes to a relay for storage and delivery. You don’t have to edit the relay, you have to get a relay to edit the data. If you own your relay, trivial. If you rely on someone else’s relay, now it’s negotiation time. If you’d rather use some centralized service and just ask mark zuckerberg to do it, then that’s fine too. Once you mail a letter, you can’t edit it. Proof read before posting.
So delete requests on Amethyst require a coder to edit the entire relay? There has to be someone smart enough to allow simple edits. Can a bot do it? Some people have severe ADD and type or even think to fast to type. That does not make them dumb or worthy of ridicule.
It is a feature of a cryptographic functions that you can not alter the original input. If you change even a character, it would result a totally different digital fingerprint. You need to accept this if you want decentralized things.
