 I've met Mark Dreyfus a few times, he was my local member at one point.

But I wouldn't expect anything but gaslighting and platitudes from him or any other MP...

 Mark isn't terrible on rule-of-law and freedom-of-speech issues. The best one could reasonably hope for from a major-party AG, I suppose.

But this is just a pure media stunt, I doubt anyone on his staff has given the hypocrisy much thought. The focus group feedback was net positive, with minimal negatives at all.
