 I miss Dubya

Agreed but the note was too long. It could have read "did Dubya put the lefties into a political huckabuck? Was he just dumb or could he've bumped Democratic demographics into only queers and cat ladies who can't reproduce?"
First of all, childless cat ladies are often childless for reasons other than they’re bearers of fruitless wombs. Secondly, Dubya was brilliant at folksy rube-play because he was authentic. As part time Texan, ranch & oil man, part-time Maine country clubber, Yale-educated, son of a battle-axe (and I was very fond of his mother, Barbara Bush), he could navigate a tux or a tractor. Supported by his secret weapon, Democrat-reared, well-grounded, self-effacing and practical Laura, he couldn’t lose.
I like that interpretation of Dubya and his context. Thanks for sharing it!
And Barbara. What a singular lady of her era.
Total badass. GWB was “turrafied” of her, with good reason; she loved him but felt he was a bit foolish. She was a stunning beauty in her day, but graced also with shrewd character judgment.
Thanks for the conversation. Love your handle BTW…
