@b8889edb I haven't really noticed a difference in contrast between Takumar and Nikon lenses, but I have taken a shine to the Spotmatic with Takumar lenses. Maybe it is a contrast thing. I have only been using Takumar for a few months.
@bf3cb02a, I could be wrong - I’ve only had the chance to run one roll through my SP500, while I’ve run near 100 through the Nikons since returning to film two years ago.

I’m currently infatuated with the Yashica FX-3/7 - lightweight and simple camera that opens the world of Zeiss C/Y lenses.
@b8889edb Zeiss lenses are phenomenal. I've only dabbled with a few Zeiss Ikon cameras.
@bf3cb02a, I think I noticed the Nikkor/Takumar contrast difference a couple weeks ago when you were posting Nikon and Pentax photos interspersed with each other. I found I was quickly able to spot which was which before reading your notes.
@b8889edb I might go back and check. It could be the lens, or maybe the film, ISO rating and developer. With film photography there are so many variables!
