 @de63a1b3 that’s really good. In my city, local politicians get maybe 10% voter turnout and the city assembly is packed with mainstream “progressives”. I swear it’s because they have one person in their book club that is a political zealot that tells all of the bleeding hearts the talking points and how to vote so they can feel good about themselves.

Grassroots campaigning is the only way to combat that by talking to the people that aren’t in an Oprah book club.

 @90aca61c I think you’re right. The tough thing is actually getting people to the door. It’s pretty easy to connect if I can talk to someone face to face. I’m really curious to see how this work translates (or doesn’t!) to voter turn out. Thanks!
