They just care that they can read a book.

 This is indeed true for the vast majority of people. Perhaps we should weep for the world, but I still think it's true.

 Ironically we need people like this. Those that accept and use things without question. People quite happy to just live thier lives. They aren't bad people. They are just trying to get by.
