Wow I saw a Kirby at Goodwill it was all chrome and very heavy it looked like it was from the 50's they only wanted 20$
 @203536d6 @6a018a2a
I didn't get it, probably should've
@0af78396 I bought a Sebo. Great machine, but it's a tank, hard to maneuver, doesn't go under furniture. I was sweating beans while cleaning, and it made me grumpy, lol. The Dyson V11 was another one, and probably the worst I ever had. I have a Bissell upright. It's okay, but a little heavy and doesn't go under furniture. I am going to check out that Kirby. I'm going to sell mine to Vac n Sew. @6a018a2a

I have this cheap ass bissel from walmart light as a feather, you have to be gentle with it but the woman likes it because it's so light. Goes under furniture easy. She's not so gentle. Also have a hoover that's lasting years maybe 15-20 so far. has the tank/canister on both. I don't like all the guts on the inside of the tanks everything swirls around it, all these extra filters it seems. That Kirby i saw was a contraption, in turned into steamer had extra parts.

About 10 yrs ago my wife told me that she wanted something called a "Miele" vac for Christmas (yes, seriously....don't worry, I got her other stuff too...I'm not an idiot). The price tag shocked the heck out of me, but except for one pretty cheap repair this thing has been rock solid. Incredible performance. Sometimes "German made" lives up to expectations.
@ef464244 Awesome! I never get mad about presents that make my life easier. Good for you. @0af78396 @6a018a2a

Will keep it in mind if I ever get a new one.

I have the Miele dishwasher put in in 2017. I was sold on it bc they use real metal not plastic easy to break parts. I love it. No problems with it. My sister put in LG appliances. All had problems. The Dyson Cordless V15 stick vacuum has impressed me, too. I have a German Sebo vac bc a friend sold them but I would buy the Miele vac. And the founder of Dyson was smart. He moved to Singapore bc he wanted to escape high taxation.

Speed Queen got those. Made in USA.

My aunt bought this $10 garden nozzle at Walmart. In the video she says “Made in China.” 🤣

Garden hose nozzles are ridiculous. They just don't last.

Did you know that the indication of origin " made in germany " was intended to discourage the purchase of inferior German products by the British? However, the label, which was originally intended to be pejorative, lost its stigmatising effect shortly after its introduction. This is karma at work 😄

Thanks for the review!
What a generous son!

I am thrilled to have found a company that makes solid appliances it seems.

It’s so disappointing these last years of crap!

Thanks everyone!!
@0af78396 @2c0be518 @ef464244 @203536d6 @6a018a2a Inglis is our washer. It’s the Swiss name of Whirlpool I believe. When our old one died the repair man told me about it and was at Best Buy. It’s the same model we had just a different name. Also always go with just basic functions. The ones with all the sensors and choices for what kinds of loads are crap. He repairs more computer parts on those than actual working parts. With YouTube we can fix both the washer and dryer ourselves.

We sell into those industries - we make the materials used as filters and vacuum bags. Shark is like Nike - they put ideas and products out to bid and go w the low cost vendor. The others are more vertically integrated, even though they are global.
@0af78396 I also have a hand held Oreck. It's good, but I had to buy a longer hose. It's all good. @6a018a2a
