We've been pushing in that direction for a while, it will take time. We put a lot of effort in being backwards compatible which also means no feeds must be updated for the time being.
It's ultimately a question of being self-sovereign and in full control. This might have the downside that you need to put some resources in, but it gives you full independence and control.
Otherwise one is relying on others putting those resources in and if something changes one might be dependent.
With Alby Hub we build a usable way to be self-sovereign and in control.

Has there been any security audits on the AlbuHub code?
no, not yet. It's still new and under heavy development.
It is building on LDK as a lightning node implementation.
