Elon bought Twitter because he felt the previous management was too politically involved. Let’s see how it looks now… Ugh, well… Never mind https://nostrcheck.me/media/eaf1a13a032ce649bc60f290a000531c4d525f6a7a28f74326972c4438682f56/f69ba08face13cf3f7ee7b3507a7bdd4c515e193f434e475939618f40af3952a.webp
Elon is great. X is great too and much better than Twitter.

He has been a cautionary tale in idolatry. I loved him on SNL, re #bitcoin, his engineering genius. Now, I am reminded of “Take care who you place upon a pedestal, because their marble statue may topple and crush you to bits, and if it doesn’t it will surely block your sun.”
Is Elon landing or taking off?
Blasting off.
"too politically involved" or... they were censoring people like crazy and there was no more 'public square' in which the issues of the day could be discussed openly
That was not why Elon bought twitter. It’s because the previous management were engaging in blatant, broad scale censorship of the regime’s political enemies, in coordination with the FBI. Twitter today does not engage in the same election interference nor partisan moderation practices. Elon has every right to have his own political opinions.
He was forced. the offer was a troll
The only thing that matters in regard of twitter is if the opposing views get censored or not.
I don't understand what you mean. The previous management actively blocked politically dissenting views on a number of benign topics. Even banned Trump for nothing but disliking him. Elon doesn't do that afaik, and he's just as entitled to have an opinion on anything as you are.
