Excited to be testing out new #primal! Wait what, paste my nsec...? how do I sign with #amber?
Is this the only signing method nostr:nprofile1qqsdv8emcke7k3qqaldwv956tstu40ejg663gdsaayuuujs6pknw7jspz3mhxue69uhhyetvv9ujucn0w3jhvtnnwcq3yamnwvaz7tmsw4e8qmr9wpskwtn9wvqs6amnwvaz7tmwdaejumr0dsx2l4qj ?

Yeah, once you've started using Amber it's hard to fathom pasting in your nsec 💯
It's hard to fathom such a large update that ignores this basic functionality.
I absolutely think they should have delayed 2.0 until bunker signing was finished.
They said it'll be ready "soon".
Devs: "look, we worked for months on all these cool new features"
Users: "but why didnt you do moar work on moar features?!"
Devs: here’s a product nobody asked for
Users: I’m literally paying you for a product I want
Devs: yeah but I got bored of that and decided to focus my attention on this thing nobody asked for
I consider proper auth to be a baseline feature that is inconceivable to ship without.
The primary Nostr advice you see is "don't paste your nsec". And what's the first screen you see in the app that wants to be the foremost Nostr app? "Paste your nsec".
This is not good.
Totally get you.
FYI, I'm one of the above mentioned annoying users too.

no change there,
still same as Primal early version
This is why I think primal users are less informed than other users. Only excusable to use primal if it is your first app and it rolled your nsec anyway.
I won't touch it until this gets fixed now matter how much slicker it is than other clients. I'll simply never now what I may be missing.
It's sort of annoyingly slick. The slow fade transition between views is "cool looking" but ultimately wastes my time
I do recommend Primal as a first client for very naive users. And I usually tell them to just make sure to keep their nsec very safe and "not to worry about relays until later".
I think it's a good path for new users, but one to be discarded before too long
