I just watched the movie “American Fiction.” What a nice movie to watch. The story here is this: Monk, a brilliant black writer, but his books are not popular, as he refuses to portray blacks in a stereotypical way in his work. Until, pressured by his editor, He then writes a story loaded with prejudices as a joke, in the idea of being funny and not selling (which clearly does not evidence his own idea and that there are many more better opportunities to portray the lives of black people in America). However, to his surprise, the worst thing is that it works, and becomes a bestseller, which he has to pretend to be this stereotype that he himself created. Impeccable cast: Jeffrey Wrigth; Adam Brody; John Ortiz; Keith David; Sterling K Brown and many others. It’s worth watching... 🤙🏼 https://video.nostr.build/d08e92e4611de537eb8d318194c7bc2e76f3f3e362e71f1f9fd678ef8ee0c7cc.mp4
