I’ve tried to read Chesterton, I just didn’t get on with it at all, it just didn’t click
He's a lot. It takes time to digest and piece together things. You kinda have to read a bunch of other period literature to get him. Without that context is really hard.
So much to read, so little time
I feel like he's my deceased brotha from anotha motha, TBH.
 Great quote! So true!

It is too bad that Thomas Jefferson had to change "protection of life, liberty, and property" to protection of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness" in order to prevent the Declaration of Independence from supporting slavery. We need better protection of property.

Also, we don't really own our property as long as we have to pay property tax (rent) to keep it. The two most evil taxes are property and income taxes.
Chesterton is a big Distributist; this quote is in character.
