Multiple platforms or movements have gotten wider recognition because I was part of them and I generate so much interesting chatter and so many interactions that search engines invariably attach themselves.

That's why I don't get the obsession with influencers. They are often really dull people, whose convos are only interesting to their own fans. Write about stuff the Internet doesn't have much info on and your content shows up at the top of search pages.
