 It's called a beef goulash.  

 Ahhhhh. We do it with ground beef and completely mix with the pasta.  Yours looks better. 

 I cooked the same today for a late family "more or less christmas" dinner. (except with potato knedlik) I hope yours was at least as wonderful.
