This behavior is almost always driven by jealousy. You have an interesting topic of conversation that you happen to be knowledgeable about, and they don’t want you to outshine them. 

This is also type of reaction I’m used to from people who really really think they’re good with money. 

Just my 2 sats, but I’d rather be right and alone than wrong and in a crowd. 

Help those you can, befriend the ones you do, and roll on when your passion and knowledge aren’t desired. 

 Sound advice! Rolling on is key. Even discussing it here has had me calm down and come tomorrow morning I’ll just let it go.
