 @58db300d 'ABW'... anyone but Winston. Nats are mad keen for power, and want more options than 'David made me do it' on the far right. Witness the regular trotting out of 'the Greens should make a coalition with the Nats', as though the greens are just about Tesla subsidies and organic vegetables (from a Nat voter perspective).

This isn't coming from the Nats, or the news media. Raf Manji is actively pimping for it in the article linked.

I've been encouraging people to vote TOP if they support the kinds of policies I mentioned, but they're too frustrated with Labour to vote for parties who would go into coalition with them (ie Greens or TPM).

I feel totally betrayed.

 @58db300d I sense your betrayed feelings....  But as you point out, it's a serious long shot, with most of what TOP stand for being diametrically opposed to what ACT have as policy. And this move isn't to give the Nats an alternative to ACT, it's as an alternative to NZ first.
