A couple of differences that might help: (1) #Bitaxe is open source and the creator @7xl is on #Nostr (2) There are several reputable Bitaxe resellers that can ship the device in a timely manner. Last I checked, the Avalon Nano 3 is sold out so it might take a while.
Thank you- this is the kind of information that I was hoping for. I looked for the nano 3 on Ebay and Amazon and the prices took the piss, so I'm looking at other possible retailers. I may end up with one of each, because at 12w the bitaxe is low powered enough it may work well on the boat where I've got 80w solar and 500w wind with 100am lipo4 storage
You’re welcome. Sounds like you’ve got a great setup for a Bitaxe or two. I tried solar about a month ago but it didn’t work out. Haven’t had a chance to take a look at it again yet.

Isn't the point of the Avalon Nano 3 to be a space heater that gives you a small discount on what you'd spend on heating anyway? Turning it on and cracking open the windows to mine bitcoin sounds like a good way to burn sats.
Cannan doesn't accept lightning and will cancel your order if utxo has been coinjoined due to their chain analysis bullshit.
