Do you all really get a bunch of political texts? I never get any of these messages and wondering if I'm just lucky or if this is more meme that real life nostr:note1kfcg6ze7v637ghlmm68mcph9ghfa5md5u5mc6chmxkkh87rw00uqzql776
I was getting many emails. I had to block very many sources
I'd imagine I get emails but they're probably filtered out as well. I don't mind extremely heavy spam filters that are overbearing vs stuff that gets in.
You lucky SOB. Can we trade numbers?
 Who dis?
 🤣
haha did you ever give your number to a campaign / pac or did they data mine it?
Probably a bit of both. I know people in politics so I wouldn’t be surprised if my number was acquired that way too. Interestingly the one campaign that got my number this year has never messaged me.
That is interesting! That makes me wonder if the machine uses lower tier candidates as almost data harvesters for the higher tier candidate's database. I wonder what kind of data sharing you have to agree on to be party affiliated so to speak.
I get contacted by Republicans, Democrats, and Libertarians about Federal and more than one states/ local races. Likely local candidates provide phone lists to state parties and in turn the national parties. You have to provide your address and phone number when you register to vote. Even the DMV sells your information.
I sent Bernie Sanders $10 in 2016 and I’m still paying for it.
I say I’m averaging about 7 a day right now. I keep reporting them as junk.
You don't report as junk through the links they send do you? 🫨
Nope. I don’t click on unknown links.
I am seeing a larger volume this year of texts impersonating campaigns asking for donations. The urls give it away.
Not many, maybe once every other day.
If you live a "swing" state the phone calls and texts can be off charts.

They don't waste their energy in states that can't be swayed.
This makes a lot of sense. I'm in KY and we're rather red other than our governors.
