You can trust an institution like Blackrock or a bank or a criminal. You can trust that a house robber will try to break in to houses. You can trust that Blackrock will try to make as much money for themselves and that involves giving their customers the illusion that they are helping them make money. Most of the time that is true, but only while their goals are aligned.
