This is basically self sovereign 2fa. The sort that a company might use if they have an important brand or reputation. Imagine, you can turn it on and off exactly when you are using it. Plugging something in is gonna be so much less cumbersome than typing in a password and then getting a code and typing that in and then never logging out either. But maybe that is just me. Love it. Can't wait for people to take it in all the different directions. Oh, come on. This device is a mini you, and you can carry it in your pocket. Its physical ownership of your account. /rambling.
Just had a thought... what if your cashu ecash was on a physical device like this that used nwc or another secure method over nostr to make a payment? Yeah, it's like client-server architecture, but both client and server is yours and heck, it makes your ecash physical, not individually, but like an ecash vault. Even if we gotta trust a mint, we can still secure the cash. 🤷
@calle 👁️⚡👁️ this is where you tell me someone is already working on this too.
I would love to see this, maybe on an esp32-style cheap device.
