My wife usually gets groceries in the middle of the day on Friday and the store is pretty empty.  She didn't make it yesterday so she went today.  It was mobbed.  When she got home I asked hiw it went.  She said it made her sick to her stomach.  I asked her why.  She said in every aisle she overheard conversations about how expensive stuff is and heard people discussing what they could do without or what could be scaled back along with comments like, woah we can't afford that. 1 of 2.
